Do YOU object to the logo choices?
Today we see an interesting take on the EU organic logo vote, with one German lawyer suggesting that people vote ‘no’ by emailing the Commission.
A ‘no’ option has not been made available on the voting page – you have to choose one of the shortlisted options. Quoted in a piece on the Organic-Market.info website, the lawyer in question, Hans-Peter Schmidt, raises some interesting concerns about the choices and the process that led to them.
At the time of writing there have been just short of 30,000 votes on the official website.
Will you be voting? Or even voting ‘no’?

I am tempted to vote “no” as suggested by e-mailing the Commission. Of the three, there is one I like better than the others but not because it is appropriate, just more interesting – although not necessarily the easiest to replicate on a label!
I wonder how many people were involved in the whittling down process because the three choices are all remarkably similar. It’s not an impressive line-up.
As an amateur artist I think non-students should have been asked to join in too!!
