Thursday 8th July, Andover, Hampshire
Following on from the resounding success of our 2009 event, OF&G and Abacus Organic Associates, in conjunction with our headline sponsor, Triodos Bank, are delighted to be bringing you another highly relevant and informative conference.
This annual event will continue to focus on the challenges and rewards to farmers within the organic sector with industry experienced speakers, representatives from feed, seed and milling companies and delegates from farm businesses, ranging from single enterprise to retail producer groups.
This year's event will be hosted by Fullerton Farms Partnership, Andover, to whom we are very grateful for the support.
New features for 2010 include:
- Full seed trial run by Organic Seed Producers, using 21 varieties of wheat, eight of triticale, five of oats and five of rye/spelt
- Robin Appel Ltd, with Warminstar Maltings Ltd, will be showing a variety of organic malting barley
- Moisture meter clinic, in association with Organic Arable
Delegate feedback from our 2009 event included the following comment:
"The single most important day in the organic farming year in terms of information, networking, business development as well as pure enjoyment."

Background
For those unfamiliar with National Organic Cereals, it is the premier event for organic arable production in the UK, focused on giving straightforward and honest facts and information to those contemplating conversion or expansion in this sector. The UK badly needs more homegrown organic cereals and significant opportunities exist. National Organic Cereals also attracts the millers and buyers who can give the real lowdown on demand and the state of the market. It is also a great opportunity for those already in organics to gather and share their experiences or just catch up with old acquiantances!
Organic Farmers & Growers Chief Executive, Richard Jacobs, explains: "Our aim with this day is to bring together people who can explain organic arable as it is and demonstrate how the market is currently working to anyone who has contemplated organic as an option for their business. We're not evangelists and we won't be preaching to anyone, just providing the background for people to make informed decisions. This will be a 'warts-and-all' practical look at turning to organic arable production."
