OF&G Chief Executive, Richard Jacobs
Richard possesses a wide and authoritative knowledge of organic food and farming as well as the policy that governs it.
He is a member of the Government's Advisory Committee on Organic Standards (ACOS) as well as the Organic Action Plan Group for England, which seeks to ensure that integrity and high standards of organic food production are maintained and that consumers have access to accurate information about how their organic food is produced. The group answers to the organic farming minister.
Richard is also a member of the Northern Ireland Organic Action Plan Group and many other industry bodies.
He has been involved in organic certification with Organic Farmers & Growers for the last seven years. Prior to that he was an organic beef and arable farmer for eight years, working for four of those years with Elm Farm Research Centre, in Newbury.
